QUIZZING SCHEDULE

SPECIAL ONE on ONE TOURNAMENTS - (like a quiz off; 5 questions [1 A/C, 1 Memory any of the 3 types and 3 general] keep quizzing until only 1 left standing in each tournament. Winners determined by win/loss record. Ties broken by total points then errors all rounds.
King of the Hill is a one on one tournament available to any quizzers who are not on a district team - FRIDAY MORNING (9:30am - 11am)
Just for Fun is a one on one tournament available for any quizzers who are not on a local team. - FRIDAY AFTERNOON (1pm - 2:30pm)
Top Dog is a one on one tournament available to any quizzer who is not on a regional team. - FRIDAY AFTERNOON (4pm - 5:30pm)
Quizzers should only be allowed to sign up for one of the above tournaments. Sign ups posted at the Quiz Office.

Seeding (pairing) for the tournament rounds will be as follows
Regional teams - 8 Regional A and 8 Regional B teams will compete in separate, full round robin schedules and then conclude with separate double elimination/placement tournaments. All teams will compete in the tournaments. Seeding in the tournament will be based on the win/loss record from
the preliminary rounds. Ties will be broken first by head to head competition and then total points all Pool rounds within each division.
District Experienced Teams are divided into 2 Pools (A-23 teams & B-22 teams). Each Pool will do a full round robin schedule. The top 8 teams from each Pool will go on to compete in a 16 team double elimination/placement tournament. Seeding for the tournament will be in this format:
#1A Pool versus #8B Pool, #2A Pool versus #7B Pool, etc. Then we reverse #1B versus #8A and so forth.
Ties in each Pool will be broken first by head to head competition and then total points from all Pool rounds.
District Novice teams will compete a round robin division with 23 teams. The top 8 teams will go on to compete in a double elimination/placement tournament. Seeding in the tournament will be based on the win/loss record from the round robin competition. Ties will be broken first by head to head competition and then total points all round robin rounds.

All Individual scores are based on the average points per round from the round robin preliminary rounds only. Ties for scholarships will be broken first based on errors provided the individuals are in the same number of round robin rounds then a 5 question quiz off. If a different number of rounds occurs, then a 5 question quiz off.
